FAQs
Is It Safe?
Yes, chiropractic care is recognized as a safe, conservative, and effective treatment for a wide variety of neuromusculoskeletal injuries. We wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t safe. You know, because we would be thrown in jail.
What about Stretches and exercises?
Oh we love them here! We will give you a personalized rehab plan that will complement the in house adjustments so we can speed up your recovery. Bones are great but nerves and muscles need to support bones or you’ll never actually get the best results. Exercises to correct blind spots are essential or you’ll just stay on the same trajectory of pain and dysfunction.
What causes the "popping" sound?
The sound is caused by gas releasing in a joint (cavitation) during an adjustment, which is typically painless. Believe it or not, it is a good thing to get those joints moving again!
Will it hurt?
Nope! At our office we use multiple techniques based on YOUR preference from gentle activator to sports chiropractic manipulations. Adjustments are generally not painful, though some patients may feel minor soreness, similar to the feeling after a workout.
Do I need a referral?
Negative! We love to communicate with your existing health care team to create a better outcome for you. In Michigan, we are Portal of Entry Doctors which means you are cleared to walk on in!
Can I adjust myself?
If you figure it out, let us know how! Thousands of videos online will show you how to “self adjust” but we all know what the problem with the internet is; It has all the RIGHT answers and all the WRONG answers too. Specificity is the most important part, not just moving a bone.
What if I'm pregnant?
Yes! Chiropractic care is considered safe and beneficial during pregnancy and we are deeply interested in taking care of moms while they are busy creating a whole human being.
How can I find a good one?
We’re biased but we like to think you just did! That’s why we do a complimentary consultation so we can take a detailed history, ask you a ton of questions and then explain how we can help you. If you like the answers, we move onto a wildly thorough exam process where we can show you what is going on inside your body.
